NOTA SIMPLE

The nota simple should show the registered owners of the roperty, present classification of the land, any charges, mortgages, rights of way, taxes or embargoes that may be on-going or have lapsed. This document is basically an extract from the title deeds register. It can be obtained from the Registro de la Propiedad.

NIE number

We understand that foreigners or non-residents can have many linguistic and cultural problems in dealing with Spanish Authorities and other bodies. Many foreigner in Spain don´t bother getting this, but the Spanish law says that if you have lived in Spain for more than three months and you plan on living in the country for more than 183 days per year, you have to apply for it.
